We, and other supporters, were delighted to attend a wonderful, heart-warming and tranquil carol concert, in the beautiful historic Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula. The event was held by Street Child, the charity that has recently welcomed our chosen charity Build Africa into its fold. Tom Dannatt (CEO of Street Child) led the evening and gave an inspiring speech about the fantastic work done by the growing charity, and future plans, which includes increasing involvement into Asia as well as Africa.

We are really pleased to continue our support for Build Africa and can see the tremendous opportunity that joining up with Street Child provides.

Andrew White, Chairman of Build Africa and Associate Dean at the Saïd Business School commented, “At Build Africa we are always looking at ways to make our supporters generous donations go as far as possible. By becoming part of Street Child we not only have the clear opportunity to create impact beyond the sum of our parts but by being part of a global charity, we effectively extend Build Africa’s impact much more widely across the African continent.”

Street Child is currently running a campaign entitled Mind the Gap which aims to help 125 million children worldwide who are not in education. The UK Government has pledged to double donations with match funding, which finishes on January 4th 2019. Amazing huh?! If you’d like to know more about this campaign, click here>>

Merry Christmas to all of you, and our very best wishes for a bright, healthy and prosperous 2020!
